Around Lake Thun, Därligen - Spiez

The 3rd stage «Around Lake Thun» starts at Därligen train station and ends at the Spiez boat landing stage. To avoid the rather unattractive hiking path from Interlaken West to Därligen (the hiking path partly runs directly alongside the road), we start the hike in Därligen. The first part begins with an ascent to the «Meielisalp», then continues without major incline over the suspension bridge (no detour possible), over the Spissibach, to Rügger. After another ascent, we reach the highest point with a panoramic view from the Oberland Alps to the Jura. Via Krattigen – Faulensee we reach the lakeshore and follow it to the Spiez boat station.
