Have you ever participated in an orienteering event? If so, have you done it on a child-friendly path at an altitude of 1950 m above sea level with a breathtaking view? If not, the Alpen-OL at Niederhorn between Niederhorn and Vorsass offers the opportunity to prove both physical fitness and mental performance.

Several control points are set in the terrain that must be found using a map and compass. The runner chooses the optimal route for themselves. There is a suitable path here for every age and skill level: even the little ones can successfully take part on Happy's path, Yummy's path requires participants to have greater searching skills. Thus the life experience of the grandmother as well as the natural orientation skills of the children may be useful at the right moment to reach the goal. Is that too easy for your children? Then we recommend Lenny's path. Interpret the signs and symbols correctly, complete the path successfully and, with some luck, you might even win a prize at the end of the season.
You have the possibility to choose between 4 trails

1. Rocky's path: The easiest trail on the ridge path around the Niederhorn mountain hut is ideal for first experiences with orienteering.

2. Happy's path: Happy's path is the perfect introduction to the world of orienteering. Beginners can gain first experiences. It runs along the hiking trail Niederhorn-Vorsass.

3. Yummy's path: Yummy's path with the difficulty level "medium" is more challenging than Happy's path but less tricky than Lenny's path.

4. Lenny's path: Lenny's path is the ideal orienteering route at Niederhorn for advanced participants.

The offer is free of charge. Only the fare for the cable cars must be paid. All participants have the chance to drop the completed map in the ballot box at the finish and win a great prize at the end of the summer season during a drawing.
