Hotel Restaurant Seegarten Marina, Spiez

Great attentive service staff who were very friendly. We had delicious surf and turf and asparagus risotto. It was fresh, tasty and a good size portion. Nice decor, comfortable seats and stunning view

We took dessert, coffee and a drink here rather than inside the Seaside Festival - too much trouble there with the prepaid cashless card. Menu was wide, service was friendly and prompt, we we were served quickly. All good and very reasonable prices. Right on the marina, so good for some boat watching too.

Racist waitress allowed to continue working after repeatedly insulting us & brining us glasses wirh lipstick stains. Four of us: she asked which language menu we wanted. The Swiss German speaker in our family said German and 3 English menus. She said - "would I get a menu in my language if I came to to your country?" (racist assumption being we were not from Switzerland & making an issue of asking for an English menu). The native speaker in our group told her she was being offensive & she then repeated it twice more). I left the table & asked to spk to the manager and was told to spk to hotel manager. She was very apologetic. However on returning to table the same waitress then gave us dirty glasses with lipstick stains. Another member of our group spoke to thr restaurant manager who clearly didn't care. Shrugged his shoulders and then told US to move tables if we wanted a different waiter. We refused and eventually the hotel manager served us. Lovely of her but clearly there is an issue with staff feeling they can make racist comments & carry on regardless. Dont waste ur money.

This is a great spot for outside dining right next to the lake and within easy walking distance of the ferry. The range of food is good and the staff are very friendly and eager to help in any way they can.

I came here for a tourism with my family. But I got an unfair treament for my assian face. To be honest, the food was just OK, the wine was great. But the service was to much bad. The waitress named Ja* was really bad. I was sitting in a normal place, but she accross, she pushed my chair on purpose like I was blocking the way. Come on, I was sitting just like everybody else. Why me? And when I tried to talked to her why. She acted like it's my fault and said to me It's OK. I feeled really bad about it. And I will never come to Spiez for this unpleasant memory though this beautiful view. What a pity!
