Local route in Interlaken: What can I do in 1 hour?

The route begins at the Tourist Information in Interlaken. After just a few minutes on foot, you reach the Höhematte, the heart of Interlaken. The view from here of the Jungfrau mountain massif is impressive. The path continues along the Höhematte to the two churches, the former monastery, and the Japanese Garden. A detour further into the English Garden ideally completes the first part of this walk.

Then you cross the bridge at the English Garden towards the Harder Kulm valley station. Here you will find a picturesque promenade along the Aare. The promenade leads you along the river to the picturesque old town of Unterseen. Through the market lane lined with small shops and creative restaurants, you reach the center of Interlaken and your starting point again.
