From Hilterfingen on Lake Thun, the hike leads along forest paths through the shady Tannenbühl forest up to the Vesuv in Heiligenschwendi. This cone-shaped hill offers not only a great view but also an impressive view over the municipality of Heiligenschwendi and to the popular viewing tower «Blueme». The return path leads via Haltenegg and the old church path back to Hilterfingen.

- Getting there
By car from Bern via the A6 motorway to the Thun Nord exit, then continue towards Gunten to the Hilterfingen municipal administration (about 12 minutes).
ParkingPaid parking at the Hilterfingen municipal administration or at the Schloss Hünegg parking lot.
Public transportationFrom Thun with STI bus lines 21/25 to the Hilterfingen, Post stop (to the starting point of the route) or from Thun by ship to Hilterfingen (see current BLS shipping timetable Lake Thun)

The hike can be perfectly combined with a boat trip on the deep blue Lake Thun. It is possible to complete the return journey by STI bus via Thun, from the Heiligenschwendi, Stapfebode stop!
