Just behind the Adelboden/Mineralquelle bus stop is the plant where the only remaining Bernese Oberland mineral water on the market is bottled and packed for transport throughout Switzerland. A small road leads to the Steinigi Brügg, where you cross to the other side of the Allebach. On the left side of the forest road there is a trail for hikers, while the right side is reserved for skiers, who mainly return to the village here in the afternoon. In the Rehärti area, you cross again to the northern side of the stream, but after 250 m turn back toward the ski slope. At the valley station of the Rehärti chairlift, keep left. Along the ski slope the path shortly ascends steeply, then crosses the Gilsbach and, now outside the ski slope area, follows the brookbed with only a slight incline. Later, the path joins Eselmoosgasse towards Gilbach (to Gilbach/bus stop 10 min). Towards Bergläger, head in the opposite direction and turn sharply left, but after 50 m leave the road again with a right turn. On the marked hiking trail, you pass under the gondola track, then continue through lonely and quiet forest to Bergläger. Here, there is busy winter sports activity, and in the high season the scent of bratwurst from the outdoor grill at the ski slope restaurant reaches you from afar. Passing the gondola station on the left, continue along the edge of the (flat and therefore only moderately trafficked) ski slope and sledding run along the Gilsbach upwards. After 800 m you cross over the Engibrücklein on the left. The path ascends quite steeply at times, but then levels out again. Shortly after, you arrive at the crossing and meeting point of the Geils winter sports area.
