Just a few minutes’ walk from Interlaken West train station, the nostalgic cable car takes you up the Heimwehfluh. One of the region’s most beautiful views awaits you at the top. The Waldcafé Heimwehfluh also offers a cozy spot to relax and unwind.

The nostalgic cable car, which is over 100 years old, takes you from Interlaken up the Heimwehfluh in only four minutes. The base station is easy and quick to reach. The short journey is well worth it: The view over Lake Thun, the municipality of Interlaken, and the surrounding villages is unforgettable.
 

Heimwehfluh – views, the Waldcafé, and local attractions

At the top, you have views of Interlaken, Lake Thun, and the surrounding mountains. Take a break for coffee or a snack in the Panorama Restaurant. The Waldcafé Heimwehfluh, a building steeped in history, is now the venue for concert evenings, readings, and other events. You will also find the sandpit, table tennis table, historic bumper cars, and Roto mini golf course.
