Music for the Royal Fireworks
The King's Band is an intergenerational wind ensemble that was put together especially for the Bachwochen Thun and consists of teachers and pupils from the Thun Region Music School. The young people and adults rehearse George Frideric Handel's (1685-1749) famous fireworks music together: "Music for the Royal Fireworks" in the original instrumentation with oboes, trumpets, horns, bassoons, timpani and drums - without strings and without a conductor! The program will be performed several times in public and outdoors - in front of the church in Amsoldingen.
