Hotel Restaurant Krone, Thun

We drove down for the Thurnersee spectacle Grease & decided to stay over. Had a wonderful experience! Though the hotel is located in the old town you can drive down to the public parking take a lift 7 floors down, transit a well lit Swiss passage & you are in the hotel. The staff were attentive & helpful. We had called & mentioned that due to weather the spectacle could be cancelled. "No problem" said Frau Blatter & she reserved a room for me for the next scheduled day. Luckily it was not needed. You can walk around the old town & enjoy the evening. There is a free Panorama pass provided for your to use public transport & the view from the room was great! The glass windows open out to a turquoise blue river & the swiss mountains. The bath was the best! So tempting & stands alone in a nice coveted spot in the suit.

Wonderful boutique hotel and a perfect location in Thun. The reception and housekeeping staff are amazing! Very friendly, ready to help, and have solutions for whatever the issue. The rooms have individual air conditioning. I visited July 2026 when temps were above 90F / 33C. The air conditioning worked great at cooling!!

We had a week stay in this wonderful hotel. The location of the Hotel KRONE THUN was ideal. Close to the train station and close to all the beautiful areas of Thun. Our room was one of the suites and it had a a lovely outlook into the square which was especially beautiful at night. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very quiet. The room and bathroom was kept spotlessly. Breakfast was plentiful All the staff at the Hotel Krone went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Thank you Hotel Krone for making our Swiss holiday special.

This place was simply amazing. The room was very clean, quiet, and private, with a lovely inner yard view. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The renovated Rathaus adds incredible character and charm to the stay. There is a nice restaurant in the property and a bar nearby. One of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

Friendly staff as soon as you walk through the door. Amazing room over looking the river. Two restaurants both excellent Chinese and Grill. Hotel in the centre two v good daily restaurants a few mins away. Everywhere spotless. Shops few mins away. Highly recommend this Hotel.

Stayed here for 3 days and would recommend to friends. The room was newly renovated, ample space and lots of extra amenities. We had the top room and received help with bringing up the luggage. Helpful staff, cordial and professional. Location is perfect.
