Stroll through the wintry streets from Interlaken Ost to Interlaken West and discover a range of creative works of art along the way in the main squares of the city. The wooden sculptures, produced by students at the Gymnasium Interlaken secondary school, are displayed at various sites around town each winter. Those who don’t wish to walk too far can relax in the Advent carriage and travel to the works of art in comfort. The carriage operates from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm on all Saturdays over the Christmas period and on the Sunday sale on 14 December from. The round trip takes around 30 minutes. You can get on and off at the various art objects along the route.

A family of ibex welcomes you in the east centre to the scene of a cosy winter fondue. "Say Cheese" is the motto for this artwork, which was created by classes 21abc at the Gymnasium Interlaken. Snap a fun selfie as you join up with friends – then share it with loved ones at home via the hashtag #Winterlaken.
Made by class 18b at Gymnasium Interlaken, the Stag captivates viewers of all ages with its imposing scale, its impressive design using pieces of local driftwood and its delicately rendered stars. This majestic sight welcomes you on next to the Armin-Schärz fountain.
The BG class 23bc at Gymnasium Interlaken has reinterpreted famous works of art history and created its own masterpieces for Interlaken. They were inspired by the artists Vincent van Gogh, Caspar David Friedrich and Katsushika Hokusai. The unique collection combines classical art with the perspective of young artists from Interlaken.
