- Start: Aeschiried, Schulhaus
- Destination: Därligen
The route is easy to find, as it is signposted from the starting point bus stop Aeschiried Schulhaus as a panorama trail. The destination Därligen is indicated on all signposts. Without major altitude differences, you reach Hellbode. For the first time, there is a view of Lake Thun, the Niesen, and the Niederhorn. Now a climb to Ufem Viertel follows. A rest area with a covered fire pit invites to linger. Then continue down a forest road through the forest, past another rest area. Sections over paths or through pastures provide variety. At Chüngstuel you reach the third rest area. It offers a magnificent view of Lake Thun. Does the place name Chüngstuel – Königsstuhl – refer to the majestic location? Shortly after, the suspension bridge over the Spissibach is reached on flat terrain. It is part of the bridge trail around Lake Thun. Six bridges are intended to connect existing trails and avoid strenuous ascents and descents over ravines. Four more bridges are planned; the one over the Gumi ravine near Sigriswil has been built and is also very popular. Without significant altitude differences, you now hike further on a forest road to Meielisalp. Shortly afterwards, turn right. Now follows the descent to Därligen. The alternation between sections in the forest, path over pastures, forest road, and street provides variety. At Egghubel shortly before Därligen, there is another rest area with a fire pit to relax. Descending on a street, you reach the village of Därligen and head along the railway line to the destination of the hike, the train station.
