The snowshoe circular route on the Höh starts north of Kandersteg train station. From the station, you cross the tracks and the Kandersteg-Goppenstein loading station. Then follow the side road northwards to the start signpost of the trail.
From here, the trail rises steeply up to the Risete-Egge. From the highest point of the circular hike, you have a beautiful panoramic view of the village of Kandersteg and the surrounding snow-covered mountains such as the Blüemlisalp group as well as the small and large Doldenhorn. The return route follows the Risete area through a sparse, magically snow-covered pine forest and then along the side road back to the station.
This avalanche-safe trail is especially beautiful after a snowfall. The ascent can occasionally have bare spots. If in doubt, please contact Kandersteg Tourism about the trail condition!
