For experienced mountaineers, the southwest ridge visible from afar is the optimal ascent to the highest peak of the Pre-Alps; less experienced climbers book this tour with a mountain guide in Grindelwald. The approach follows a normal path up to the steep ascent at Chrinneboden towards the "Grossi Chrinne." From there on the ridge, you can already see the ladders often glinting in the sun. On the ascent to the Große Chrinne, there are already first safety elements. Once on the ridge, you climb airy over several ladders to the less steep part of the ridge and follow it to the summit.
