Bird Trail Oey

The beautiful and varied cultural landscape of the Diemtigtal offers many birds a home. The bird trail leads through numerous habitats of various native bird species. Along the way, there is much amazing information to learn about the bird world. For example, in early summer, the nest of a swift pair can be observed live with a nest camera, or various bird calls must be identified. Twelve information boards introduce native birds in detail. A quiz and other activities also await hikers. The bird trail is a subproject of the Diemtigtal Regional Nature Park and is suitable for nature lovers, schools, and families with children from 10 years old. The start and finish of the marked circular route is at Oey-Diemtigen train station.

For the 5.6 kilometers and 210 meters of elevation, a hiking time of 2 hours and 45 minutes is estimated. The route can also be shortened.
