It is recommended to choose this ascent and not to travel along the very busy main road from Thun to Goldiwil / Heiligenschwendi.

About 500 meters above Thun is the scenic village of Goldiwil. The ascent there can be done under your own power or you can conveniently reach Goldiwil and the Goldiwheel Trail by Bike-Shuttle from STI Bus.
