Alpine Team Challenge – Ikigai Games in the Bernese Oberland
At Ikigai Games, you and your group can experience a personal outdoor adventure in the Holiday Region Interlaken. An app and a guide will take you and your group to various stations where you can solve tasks involving nature, orientation, and teamwork.
The name “Ikigai” comes from Japanese and means something like "the meaning of life". The Ikigai Games take up this idea in a customized outdoor team adventure. During the tour, you'll explore the landscape and cultural treasures of the Holiday Region Interlaken. The app shows you the route and the upcoming tasks to be completed during the challenge.
Before you arrive, you'll fill out a short questionnaire and receive one of twelve possible animal identities, including ibex, marmot, lynx, or chamois. Good basic fitness, sure-footedness, and suitable equipment are required., and tThe animal represents certain strengths and a role within the group. On the day of the challenge, you and your group will embark on a route with mountain guides, the difficulty of which has been determined in advance. Along the way, you'll meet local craftsmen and farmers who will tell you about their work. Depending on the route, the program includes waterfall photography, woodcarving, geocaching, or alpine sports. The day ends with a ceremony at dusk.
