Aare Boat Outdoor Interlaken

The room was very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountain , river and garden from the room. The staff were friendly, helpful and provided great service throughout our stay. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at Boutique Hotel Bellevue and would happily stay here again.

I’m afraid we can’t comment on the pizza but the risotto and pasta were fantastic. I do wish we’d found this place earlier in our stay in Interlaken as we’d have eaten here more than once. Very pleasant wines by the glass (and we tried a few)

Mmmmm. Food absolutely delicious and wines to match. Friendly welcome and, as it is a few steps away from the main tourist areas, a calm and quiet atmosphere. Our meals were cooked to order and we enjoyed Portuguese wines with our food.

Location and outward appearance are amazing. Sadly the service we received was far from amazing. We were part of a tour , 20+ bedrooms booked. We were never made to feel welcome, more like we were there under sufferance. Our room 24 was tiny, we had to move the stool from the foot of the bed to get round to the other side. The door opened outward as there wasn't enough room for it to go inwards. The bathroom was very small, poorly lit with intermittent hot water. The glass door again opened outwards as it couldn't go inwards and it did at least give a bit of light. Breakfast was plentiful but boring, I like cheese, ham and bread but some fruit would have been nice. We were in an all inclusive package - our packed lunch, ordered in advance was bread and cheese, meat or tuna everyday - stodgy and not appealing. Who gives an orange as a snack on a day out , cut them up for breakfast. Dinner each night was salad, soup, cheese, plus a bland and miniscule main, with sad shop bought desserts. What happened to apple strudel etc, we were in Switzerland after all. The fondue night was strange - meat not cheese, with frozen chips and the ever present salad. Switzerland has cheese - use it for fondue. All inclusive drinks - white/red wine, beer, lemonade and fizzy water. No other soft drinks included. This is a Michelin starred restaurant - we didn't expect that level, but somewhere above Travelodge microwave meals would have been nice. We were told we couldn't use the outside tables on the patio and had to use the tatty outdoor furniture instead. Not enough room for all of us. We even had to walk outside and back into the restaurant so as not to disturb the "posh" diners. The breakfast room is far too small for a party plus other guests. Additional seating on the way to it was available but never set up to use All in all extremely disappointing

This was the absolute most fun we had on our trip. It was way better than I anticipated. Better than the paragliders-mountain karts. So much fun! Janine was the best tour guide Highly-highly recommend.

We recently stayed at Manor Farm in a Eurocamp Safari Tent for six nights. The campsite is just outside Interlaken, is in a great location for exploring the area. The site itself was generally clean, quiet and maintained, and we found it to be an ok place to stay but i would say the site is very cramped. Lots of tents and caravans on top of each other. Unfortunately, our experience was let down by the condition of the Eurocamp Safari Tent we were allocated, which was well below the standard we expected. We have stayed in this type of accommodation before, so we went into the holiday with realistic expectations. We fully understand that a Safari Tent is basic accommodation. What we were not expecting was the condition of the tent we were given. From the moment we arrived, there were numerous issues, including a very stained floor, table and chairs, a broken chair, mould in multiple areas, a green/mouldy water butt which we were actually advised by the Eurocamp team not to use, melted lights, light fittings full of dead flies, ripped tent fabric, missing bed fittings and rusty/sharp exposed edges on the children's bed. There were also issues with the cooker and cooking area, including rust and dirt, as well as a dented fridge and numerous old repairs to the tent (attached a couple of the many photos). We also had some additional problems during the first 24 hours, including missing paid-for linen, a gas cooker that did not work and an electricity supply that had to be reset. We reported the problems to the Eurocamp team immediately. To be fair, the staff on site were excellent. They were helpful, polite and did what they could to resolve the problems we raised. We have absolutely no complaint about the staff. Following our complaints, we were eventually moved to alternative accommodation for the final two nights, which we appreciated. We complained to Eurocamp after returning home and provided photographs of the problems. To their credit, Eurocamp acknowledged the evidence and admitted that the accommodation had not been properly maintained or checked, apologising for the condition and the impact it had on our first four nights. Eurocamp initially offered about 13% refund on our accomodation costs but did up it about 18% we we refused their poor offer. The staff were excellent, and I want to make that clear, but the condition of this particular accommodation was simply not acceptable. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering booking a Safari Tent looks carefully beyond the promotional photographs and considers what condition the accommodation may actually be in when they arrive.

A wonderful traditional Swiss meal in a historic tavern. Bären has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and plenty of character. The raclette was lovely and the apple strudel was heavenly — one of the best desserts we had in Switzerland. Service was quick, friendly and efficient throughout. A very good meal in a lovely traditional setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Great location: First time visiting Switzerland and staying in a hostel, and this exceeded my expectations. I visited mainly to tick Jungfraujoch off my bucket list. The hostel offers picturesque views and is surrounded by mountains. The front desk staff member, Eric, was very helpful, genuinely lovely and delivered service with a great smile when I was checking in. I was fully informed about all the services available at the hostel. There is a computer screen with bus and train times at the reception, which is very handy. You are given a public transport travel pass for the duration of your stay. I was in a female-only dorm on the 1st floor with 5 other ladies, each with a personal locker and a keycard, which was safe and secure. Free WiFi and continental breakfast are provided. There is a large kitchen where you can prepare your own meals, and plenty of fridges to store your food. Laundry, storage lockers to keep your luggage if you arrive early before check-in or on checkout and still want to explore the town. The shared bathrooms and toilets are clean and cleaned regularly. There is a quiet time from 2200hrs- 0700hrs which was observed by everyone.  I had an early train to catch to the Jungfraujoch the next day before breakfast started and Eric kindly provided me with 2 coffee tokens to get my day started with take away coffee from the dining area. That was a lovely gesture and truly appreciated. The best part of the hostel is the location; the bus stop is just outside for buses no. 60 & 120, and the Interlaken West train station is a 15-minute walk, and Interlaken Ost train station is 1km away. There are heaps of cafes, bars and Coop supermarket all within walking distance. Lovely experience, affordable and highly recommended. If I ever return to Interlaken in future, I will not hesitate to stay at the Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof.

Very good food, excellent service. Loved the white chocolate tart in particular.
