Aare Boat Outdoor Interlaken

If you ever visit Interlaken, you will see a beautiful hotel right in the center of town. It is a truly lovely sight. We stayed three nights with connecting rooms and everything was spectacular! From the service to the breakfast buffet and the spa, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and their service is the best. We also ate at both of the restaurants and loved the food. Thank you for a great stay!

We had an excellent 2 night stay here. The location is fantastic, Interlaken West is right outside. Rooms itself are quite large for Swiss standards and very clean. The view from the rooms are beautiful. Breakfast is included and there is a very nice spread of pastries, hot food and cold food, overlooking the beautiful Swiss Alps. Lots of restaurants close by and also a Coop and Migros. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful. 10/10 would love to come back.

We happened on to the Taverne restaurant after a day of e-bike riding and a local recommendation for a great meal. We were received with such warmth and professionalism, we went for a drink and stayed for dinner! We opted for two chef tastings and two fondue, multi-course meals; both of which were delectable and perfectly timed by our server, who was wonderful! Neither selection disappointed. The fondue was the best we had in Switzerland, including our stay in Zermatt and the chef tasting was inventive yet wholly delicious! We highly recommend!

Fantastic experience! Wonderful people! Very knowledgeable and great bikes. Our family arrived in Interlaken from a few days of skiing and so we got a later start to our day and missed the guided tours, but wanted to rent ebikes. We wandered into Flying Wheels, knowing we missed the tours, but hoping to do a self tour. What a treat! The gentleman manning their outside kiosk (I regret not getting his name) was fantastic; he set us up with bikes/helmets/baskets, gave a number of options and then provided detailed instructions for a 4-hour route, that gave plenty of time for stops (a missed turn or two) and still return in time before the shop closed. We rode 25-27 kilometers through BEAUTIFUL scenery, charming villages, castle ruins, farms and picturesque lakesides. This was a great option for us and make the experience in Interlaken so much more personal as we found ourselves part of the local landscape. The gentleman at the store was full of historical knowledge and even in our short time with him, I could tell he would have been an awesome guide to have. This is definitely the company to rent from or go along on their tours! A note on the equipment: the bikes were in pristine condition and the helmets (which I thought might be iffy) were immaculate, like brand new.

Didn't enjoy my stay. Beds were too low & uncomfortable. Breakfast was ordinary & no refills.bread got over twice. Juice was stale. The old man at the reception was too unwelcoming. The young guy at the breakfast was kind & v sweet

We were excited to eat here and had a terrible experience with rude staff. We were met with an unfriendly manager when we checked in and an even more rude waiter who ignored us until we asked to order and continued to ignore us throughout the night. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend going here. Switzerland is full of amazing people - go somewhere else.

booked via Booking.com. I was shocked when I walked in — the condition is absolutely disgusting. The lighting is deliberately kept extremely dim to hide how bad everything is. All the furniture is badly worn and peeling. There are even naked photos of a man and a woman hanging on the wall, which is extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. The toilet and bathroom are not inside the room but in a separate room next door. To make tea or coffee, you have to go to a shared kitchen to boil water. Worst of all, the bed sheets and duvet cover look crumpled and it’s unclear whether they’ve been washed or sanitized for guests. When I pulled back the pillowcase, the pillow inside was yellow and stained. The mattress is also extremely soft and saggy.I also spent the entire night freezing because there was no heating at all. To make matters worse, there was a tear in the bed sheet that had been crudely patched up with mismatched thread, which was very obvious to see. There was no one at the front desk, so I couldn’t complain or request a room change even if I wanted to. After a long day of traveling, all I wanted was a proper rest — this place is a joke. I had to sleep fully clothed. The only good thing is the location. Otherwise, it’s completely worthless. The owner clearly doesn’t care about complaints because Interlaken is always busy with tourists. The price is not cheap at all, and the real condition nothing like the photos shown on Google. This is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Absolutely terrible experience！！！

Second time to stay here and enjoyed our stay again. We loved the location as it was about a 7-minute walk to Interlaken Ost. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Some points that need improvement though - the breakfast had no variety so we had the same food every day for 6 mornings - housekeeping could be improved because our room was not very clean everytime we request it to be made up and they didn't replace the glasses that we've used
