From the village of Sundlauenen, it goes steeply up over natural paths and forest trails to Beatenberg. Despite strenuous sections, the hike to the 'longest village in Europe' fascinates with its views of the Alpine ranges and Lake Thun. A special feature is, of course, the single-rope suspension bridge over the Sundgraben. Numerous resting places along the way as well as places to eat in Beatenberg quickly make you forget the strenuous ascent and offer the opportunity to regain strength for the descent to Beatenbucht.

High above Lake Thun on the sunny terrace, around 1100 m above sea level, starts the technically demanding trail, which leads very action-packed down to Beatenbucht.

One of the most impressive ridge hikes in the Bernese Oberland: The varied ridge hike, the magnificent view of the highland mountain giants, the thrilling deep view into the Justistal, and the fascinating insight into the rocky and karst landscape of the Sieben Hengste and Seefeld are incomparable. The partially somewhat exposed trail between Burgfeldstand and Gemmenalphorn is secured with wire ropes in places; nevertheless, surefootedness and a head for heights are essential. Entirely a natural path.

The Chüematte Trail on the Niederhorn is one of the most beautiful signposted snowshoe trails in the canton of Bern. From the Vorsass middle station to Alp Chüematte, snowshoers can experience an untouched and sparse alpine forest landscape. This is complemented by the breathtaking panorama of the Bernese Alps.
