Legends and fairy tales at Thun Castle

Stately. Unapproachable. Spooky. What people once told themselves about castles and palaces is echoed in numerous fairy tales and legends. There is talk of outrageous knights and haunted lords, of murderous intrigues and enchanted treasures, of devilish pacts and witches' curses.

On Thun Castle Hill, behind thick walls and in ancient gray vaults, the stories from local lore whisk you away to a magical castle world. The narrator's language is just as primal as the tales he tells: the legend walker, Andreas Sommer, presents his tales in "chüschtiges Bärndütsch", full of rustic expressions and surprising turns of phrase.
