Directions

Follow the snowshoe route from the Wiriehorn mountain station (Nüegg) gently ascending towards Alp Schwarzenberg. The path leads over the ridgeline with moderate incline up to Tubelfärrich. Throughout the ascent, you have stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks before you reach the turning point of your hike. The descent route follows along the forest edge up to the elevation of Oberi Heitere and further to the terrain saddle above the Nüegg mountain station. A short descent and the mountain station and the Berghotel Wiriehorn are reached. The path is marked with pink directional signs and snowshoe symbols.

Directions & Parking facilities

**Getting there**Motorway A6 Bern towards Zweisimmen, turn left 1 km after the Simmenfluss tunnel towards Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtal road uphill for 11 km to the Riedli base station. From here, the chairlift of the Wiriehorn cable cars takes you up to the Nüegg mountain station (observe operating times: www.wiriehorn.ch).

**Public transportation**Outbound and return trip: By train to Oey-Diemtigen. Then by post bus to Riedli/base station Wiriehorn. Take the chairlift to Nüegg.
