**Public transportation**

Thanks to its central location in Europe, Switzerland is served by international trains from over 12 countries. Within Switzerland, intercity trains run directly from Basel and Lucerne to the Jungfrau Region. Travelers from Zurich change trains in Bern. Trains run every half hour.

A cable car takes guests from Lauterbrunnen station to Grütschalp in the shortest time. Here you change to the train, which offers wonderful panoramic views and reaches the car-free mountain village of Mürren in about 15 minutes.

Alternative route from Lauterbrunnen: 20-minute bus ride (bus no. 141) to the Schilthornbahn stop. Change to the cable car, which reaches Mürren in about 10 minutes.

The lower station of the Allmendhubel funicular is located in the center of Mürren and is within a short walking distance from both arrival stations.
